This is a a meaningful children's book that begins with lovely protagonist and also enspds with.  The Royal Palm. A beautifully written tale, that provides a longing tale for children as to meaningful lessons.

The Royal Palm is beautiful illustrated picture book for all to enjoy, enjoy manic and the fantasy, the stories. Are protagonist The Royal Palm, reflects on her new home, a beautiful Palm born on a Island in the middle of the island that was well just not so safe or beautiful at times....it would be often come with violent storms, growing up in the shadows, but had could not deny in the end she had dear friends, acquaintances or loved ones or whatever you want to call them, little plain Palm trees that would protect her from her harm while she was growing up.

What does any any living thing dream of when they grow up, being some where better. But, as she got older vanity became issue, well not an issue a problem, she was mean, down right snobby! She gets to the point where this nice young beautiful Palm who used to be so wet, protected by her more less decorative family, turns away and grows and becomes weaker and scared, and not sure what to do because she her hurt her friends. The parrots, the Palm, the lizards. They all just wanted to have fun in the end she just cares about beauty

When online news her cousins were no where to be found they were hurt, they turned away, the worst of all is when the hurricane hits.....the island....who is going to help them when so many  have been hurt?

What catches my my mind in the end, is the author leaves you at a cliff hanger, to figure it out yourself. For you to realize what choices you make can do. I thought that was clever.
