Do You Like Trains
Author: Anne Tarpley Francesco
It was on page four when I realized that it rhymed like Doctor Seuss’s book in spirit of ‘Green Eggs and Ham’. The book was fun and has two cute main animal characters, a squirrel boy tries to convince his friend a small raccoon boy why he likes trains and why he should too.
The illustrations are fun and large to look at and the font is large and the sentences are short to keep the child interested in the story. I think any child would enjoy this story read to them, enjoy the large fun simple imagery, or both. The story has a rhyming scheme with a good rhythm to make it sound fun. This would be a great reading for a three year old and up, I would recommend the story to any young child.
